How governed AI keeps travel advisors in control

The useful role for AI in an agency is acceleration with visible review—not invisible autonomy.

Speed without context is a liability

Travel service combines live inventory, personal preferences, policy, and time pressure. An answer can sound polished and still be operationally wrong.

A safer pattern gives AI the current agency context, limits what it may do, and makes the handoff to a person obvious.

Use three visible checkpoints

A governed workflow should make responsibility legible at every stage.

  • Context: ground the response in the client and inquiry record.
  • Confidence: route uncertain or sensitive cases to a person.
  • Control: require an advisor to approve consequential actions.

Measure the handoff, not just the reply

Response time matters, but resolution quality matters more. Track whether AI reduced repeated work, preserved context, and handed the conversation to the right teammate at the right moment.
